DRIP ACTION PRODUCTIONS

ART by JYASMINA REZA
Translated by Christopher Hampton

2006

"Chic ... wickedly funny, it's the perfect play." London Evening Standard

Synopsis
On the face of it, Marc, Serge and Yvan might seem unlikely friends and yet each finds in the others something which binds them together Š until, that is, Serge spends a large sum of money on a white painting, an act which throws their relationships into sharp contrast, making them re-value themselves, their friendships, their views of art and, perhaps, even their views of the world. ItÕs a thought provoking and sometimes bitterly funny play, which may send you home thinking about whatÕs hanging over your own mantelpiece.
